Jake Owen and the 2 Rodeo performances.  Individual or package
tickets available.  Contact the YC Commissioners office for more

The Wray School District Office is now on Summer Hours.  Hours
Monday through Thursday  from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Fridays
from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Volleyball Officials are needed for the upcoming School Year, and
there will be several  training clinics offered this summer.  For more

The Yuma Lions Club has Bingo on the second and fourth Tuesdays
of each month at the Club at Indian Hills in Yuma.

Local Host Families are needed to host exchange students for the
upcoming school year.  Students are 15 to 18 years of age.  For more

Plans are underway for this years old time saturday celebration in
Vernon to be held August 20-22.  This years theme "The Way We
Were"  The next committee meeting is Monday May 10 at 7 p.m. at the
Vernon Firehall.

A reminder that a person can get their cell phones signed up for
emergency weather notifications that are sent out by the WY
Combined Communications center.  Go to readynortheast.org or fill
out a form at  the Wray or Yuma Police Department.

2010 YC Fair books are now available and can be picked up at
Premier Farm Credit, Bank of Colorado and the Colo Comm Bank in
Yuma, Yuma Chamber, Outback Feed Store in Idalia, FN Bank in Kirk
and the CSU Cooperative Extension Office in Wray.

The Sterling Social Secrity Office will be open on Wednesday August
25th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Office is located at 508 S. 10 Ave.
A Demolition Derby will be held on Saturday August 14 at the Lincoln
County Fairgrounds in Hugo.  For rules and entry forms call

Hospice of the plains will have a benefit community garage sale on
Saturday August 14th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wray City Hall.  
Starting Monday August 2 they will be accepting donations.  The Wray
Child Care Center will be serving food during the garage sale and
Hospice will also be raffling off a John Deere Mower.  For more

A Healthy Child Clinic will be held on Monday August 9 from 9 a.m. to
noon at the Holyoke Elementary School.  Several free screenings for
your child and immunizations available.  Call 854-2921 for more

If you wish to have a float in this years YC Fair Parade you need to
register in advance.  This years theme is A century of Head, Heart,
Hands and Health.  The parade begins at 10 a.m.  on Tuesday August
10.  Call 630-4676 to register.  

The next blood drive in Yuma is Friday August 6th from 10:30 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the Yuma Hospital.  For an appointment call 848-4602.

The Yuma Police Department will host a National Night Out event on
Tuesday August 3 at the Yuma Community Center.  Free block party,
including food, games, vendors, a car auction, bike rodeo and lots
more.

Amherst Community Appreciation Fun Day will be held on Saturday
August 14 starting at 10 a.m. at the Amherst Community Center.  
Softball Tournament, Horseshoe Pitching, BBQ and more.

The Wray Recreation Department will have sign up for Flag Football
and 5th and 6th grade travel Basketball.  Stop by on August 11 or
August 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the City Hall or call 332-4419.  Flag

The 9th Annual Haigler Bluegrass Breakdown will be held on Sunday
August 8th from noon to 4 p.m. at the Haigler Village Park in Haigler

The YC Soil Conservation District will sponsor CSI Beecher Island, a
free one-day outdoor camp on Wednesday August 18.  Camp funs
from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Transportation to and from Beecher will be
provided. Learn about wildlife, water and so much more in the

The Wray Farmers Market will be open on Tuesdays from 4 to 6 and
Saturdays from 10 to 1 in the Wray Shopping Center.

Nominations are being accepted for the 19th annual Eckley
Community Service Award to be presented during Old Settlers.

Caring Pregnancy Resource Center of NE Colorado will sponsor a
"Womens Day of Renewal" in Sterling on September 11 from 9 a.m. to
4 p.m. at NJC.  Singers, Guest Speakers and teaching sessions.  To
